About
Denver trio Plastic Mystic recently released their self-titled LP, which is a collection of properly disorienting psychedelic garage rock freakouts. It seems rooted in early post-punk, with vocalists adopting what sound like bratty British accents, but they add thick layers of guitar muscle and employ restless song structures that change direction on a dime. Really out-there stuff, and honestly reminds us a lot of our Lincoln friends Bogusman.
They're at Duffy's on September 30, with Lincoln indie/emo ensemble The Obscurants and Omaha songwriter BareBear.
